October 6 – Mental Health First Aid

Hosted by the Partnership for a Healthier JC and the Community Health Trust, Mental Health First Aid is a full-day training dedicated to equipping community members with the skills to recognize and respond to signs of mental illness. Taking place at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center in Jersey City on Monday, October 6, this in-person program provides practical tools for supporting someone in the midst of a mental health crisis.

The training is designed for everyone — from friends and family to caregivers and professionals — and focuses on breaking stigma while building confidence in how to approach difficult situations with care. By learning how to listen, respond, and connect people to resources, attendees will leave prepared to make a difference in their communities.
