Hosted by The Temple Emanu-El Streicker Centers in partnership with the UJA-Federation, The BIG Shabbat is a historic community celebration uniting 3,000 people of all ages to break the Guinness World Record for the largest Shabbat dinner ever held. Taking place on Friday, November 21 at North Javits (445 11th Avenue, New York, NY), this four-hour event brings together joy, tradition, and togetherness on an unprecedented scale.

From candle lighting to singing, dancing, and a seated kosher vegetarian feast, the evening will showcase Jewish culture and community spirit. The dinner will feature dishes by renowned chefs Beejhy Barhany, Jake Cohen, Joan Nathan, and Adeena Sussman, with live music and entertainment throughout the night.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early — doors open at 5:45 PM — as everyone will need to be seated at the start of dinner to set the record. Join this one-of-a-kind celebration of Jewish unity, joy, and connection.
