Hosted by the NYC Center for Health Equity & Community Wellness, the Community Mental Wellness & Resilience Workshop is a free, three-hour training designed to strengthen community mental health and empower New Yorkers with practical skills for support and resilience. Held at the Bedford Neighborhood Health Action Center (485 Throop Avenue, Brooklyn, NY), this multi-date workshop provides tools for recognizing mental health challenges, managing stress, and connecting individuals to local resources.
Participants will learn to identify warning signs, explore risk factors, and practice R.I.S.E., a framework for building both individual and community resilience. Through guided discussions and interactive learning, the workshop fosters awareness, equips attendees with actionable strategies, and highlights the mental health services available throughout New York City.
This program offers a supportive and accessible space for anyone hoping to strengthen their community’s mental well-being and play an active role in promoting connection and care.
