Saturday, September 27 — Let’s Talk About It: A Mental Health Summit for the Culture

Hosted by the Greater NYC Black Nurses Association Mental Health Committee, Let’s Talk About It is a powerful in-person summit taking place during Suicide Awareness Month, focused on mental health and suicide prevention in communities of color. Held at York College in Queens, this four-hour event includes panel discussions, guided meditations, sound baths, and interactive group sessions — all designed to open up real conversations, reduce stigma, and empower attendees to support themselves and others.

This summit offers both education and healing, inviting participants to explore how mental health challenges impact families and communities. From expert insight to peer connection, this event creates space to be seen, heard, and supported — with lunch provided to keep everyone nourished throughout the day.
