Hosted by The Unframed Arts Collective in partnership with the New York Restoration Project, It Takes a Village: An Open Garden Art Studio is a free, family-friendly event celebrating creativity, sustainability, and community connection. Taking place on Saturday, September 19 at Los Amigos Community Garden in Harlem, this full-day outdoor gathering features interactive art activations for all ages.
Participants can enjoy hands-on activities such as clay coaster making, dried flower bouquet creation, cardboard insect projects, seedling starters, paint pouring, printmaking, and more. The day also includes live jazz music, light refreshments, and two professionally led workshops with limited spots available by RSVP.
Rooted in the belief that art is a tool for healing and self-expression, this event creates accessible space for creativity, connection, and community care. Donations are welcome and support The Unframed Arts Collective programming and the Los Amigos Community Garden.
