Hosted by the Child Mind Institute, Increasing Access to Treatment for Mental Health Problems in Childhood is a hybrid lecture exploring innovative approaches to improving mental health care for children and adolescents. Taking place on Friday, April 24 at the Child Mind Institute, New York, NY, and available via Zoom, this event features a presentation by Cathy Creswell, PhD, a leading expert in developmental child psychology from the University of Oxford.

The lecture addresses the growing gap between the demand for effective mental health interventions and the availability of care. Using child anxiety as a key example, Dr. Creswell will highlight how parent-led strategies and digital tools are expanding access to evidence-based treatments, particularly at early stages when support is most critical.

Attendees will gain insight into barriers to care, emerging solutions, and practical strategies for increasing access to psychological therapies for children. This event is part of the Child Mind Institute’s Visiting Professor Lecture Series, which brings together leading voices in child and adolescent mental health research and treatment.
