Hosted by Maia Kiley, LMFT, Ecological Identity & Mental Health is an intimate gathering exploring how our relationship with nature shapes emotional well-being, resilience, and personal empowerment. Taking place on December 18 at ShapeShifter Lab, this two-hour event invites participants to connect with their ecological identities, reflect on their lived experiences in nature, and explore pathways to healing during an era of polarization and climate change.
Held near the winter solstice, the evening includes community-building, embodied exercises, presentations, music, and collective visioning. Climate psychologist Thomas Doherty, ecotherapist Maia Kiley, and author Anya Kamenetz will guide participants through grounding somatic practices, discussions on eco-identity, and the link between personal healing and collective action.
This gathering offers a supportive and uplifting experience for anyone seeking deeper connection, clarity, and emotional balance through nature-centered mental health practices.
